Jim Falk, Treasurer

May 17, 2019

Why have you chosen to serve on the CURE Board?

CURE has been a strong advocate supporting common sense approaches to helping our environment. Sustainability is all tied together in our local ecosystem, with the need for clean water, clean air, and a vibrant community social structure. I believe CURE has the right perspective to make a positive change in our community through action and education.
I served on the CURE board several years ago and I feel that I can again be an asset to board with my experience in the ag sector and also as a renewable energy producer-consumer.

Tell us about your vocation/profession

I am the 4th generation Falk to own and operate the family’s grain and livestock farm. Through the years we have dedicated sensitive areas to conservation programs like RIM, CRP, and other sustainable farming practices.
I received my B.S. from the University of Minnesota.

Fun Fact(s)

I love to hunt and fish, and a walk in my private wildlife sanctuary, right behind my business at the farm, is a real joy and a personal escape to for me to appreciate how much I love living with nature on my farm.
I played guitar in several local bands, with a focus on old-time and modern country-western music, along with a repertoire of classic 50/60 rock & roll favorites.

Jim Falk was elected to the CURE Board of Directors in 2017.
