
On October 3rd, the MN Public Utilities Commission (PUC) approved the sale of ALLETE/Minnesota Power to private equity interests. This decision went against the recommendation of an Administrative Law Judge, the PUC’s own staff analysis, CURE testimony, and pleas of Minnesota residents.

Taking on fossil fuel billionaires to protect northern MN land & waters

Coalition asks MPCA to regulate Ag Drainage

CURE was part of a coalition of nine Minnesota groups that asked the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) to regulate ag drainage. Over 400 Minnesotans signed coalition petitions calling for action to protect our state’s water. However, yesterday, the MPCA issued its decision not to grant the petition for rulemaking.
