To learn more and share your opinion:

Visit this webpage: www.pca.state.mn.us/water/2020-triennial-standards-review.
Attend a virtual public information meeting on March 9, starting at 3:30 p.m., to hear details, ask questions, and provide comments in a live format. Details on how to access the meeting will be posted on the webpage listed above closer to the meeting date.
See the notice in the State Register: https://mn.gov/admin/assets/SR45_29%20-%20Accessible_tcm36-463399.pdf.

The federal Clean Water Act requires states to develop water quality standards to protect water resources for the public’s use and enjoyment and to sustain aquatic life such as fish, aquatic plants, and invertebrates. Every three years, states are required to review their water quality standards and provide an opportunity for the public to comment on the need for any changes or additions. The 2020-2021 Triennial Standards Review fulfills this requirement.
