Keep Minnesota Families Safe & Warm

Minnesotans Need Heat Now

As temperatures drop, many vulnerable Minnesotans face rising heating bills. Meanwhile, a major source of assistance, the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), was halted by the federal government shutdown. CURE took decisive action to call on the Walz administration to act—building an alliance of organizations and asking you to use your voice too! Now, the administration is listening. And CURE is looking at longer-term solutions to reduce Minnesotans’ energy burdens, beyond LIHEAP.

MN Women's Press Data Centers Panel

Hyperscale data centers remain a major concern for Minnesotans, so we’ve been getting up to speed on these huge facilities and sharing our knowledge with folks across the state. CURE’s upcoming webinar series will address data center topics like NDAs, energy issues, and environmental reviews, to help you speak up for yourself & your neighbors. 👉 Fact Sheets: overview + water.

Fossil Fuel Pipeline Resistance Training

CURE’s Andy Pearson helped lead a training weekend, Nov 7-9, with the Three Waters Pipeline Resistance Team, COPAL & national allies at the Movement to End Fossil Fuels. 100 people came to learn + build connections between movements to shut down Enbridge tar sands pipelines, protect frontline communities from the cumulative impacts of air pollution & stand up for our immigrant neighbors in an era of climate migration.
