People’s Forum on Hermantown Data Center
Join Duluth Indivisible for a People’s Forum on the Hermantown Data Center.
Come hear from experts, not people who expect or hope to gain financially or politically from the data center development. We’ve heard lots of promises; we’ve seen shifting sands, and we’ve witnessed NDA’s and continued lack of transparency.
Confirmed panelists and areas of expertise:
- Cindy Olson: School Financing
- Prescott Balch: stopped a data center in Caledonia, Wisconsin
- Hudson Kingston: Legal Director CURE
- JT Haines: Northeastern Minnesota Director, MCEA
- David Schneider: AI and Technology (University of Saskatchewan, School of Environment and Sustainability)
**Remember, knowledge is power, and data centers are not inevitable. **
The format will be a panel discussion with questions prepared by the organizing team, curated questions from participants submitted via email to joannelouisebates@gmail.com by July 6, 2026 and time permitting, questions from the floor.
Please note that this meeting will run longer than our regular monthly meeting to give ample time for questions and discussion.
